One of the well-known villages on the West Coast Demerara, Leonora is subdivided into five areas. These are: Pasture, Sea Field, Para Field, Groenveldt and Sear Spray. It is an ideal community for a newly developing family but provides the comfort and amenities for persons now aiming to build their lives and those aiming to retire.
Leonora is rapidly becoming a commercial haven that is at its busiest throughout the entire day and even into the late hours of the evening. There is access to shopping at the various supermarket, garment stores, boutiques, dry goods shops, and a mini mall.
There are also numerous restaurants and snackettes around providing authentic cultural dining experiences. In terms of entertainment, this can be found at the few clubs as well as playgrounds in the area but is usually found by going to Vreed-en-Hoop which is just about 20 minutes away.
There is easy access to schools, banks, along the West Coast and an easy port into Georgetown via the Vreed-en-Hoop Stelling.
